• Les fichiers JAR sont des programmes Java au format

compressé et les fichiers JAD sont des fichiers de

description contenant des informations détaillées. À

partir du réseau, il vous est possible d’afficher toutes

les informations du fichier JAD avant de télécharger le

programme.

Java est une technologie développée par Sun Microsystems.

À l’instar des applets Java que vous téléchargez à l’aide des

navigateurs standard Netscape ou MS Internet Explorer, les

MiDlets Java peuvent être téléchargés à l’aide d’un téléphone

WAP. Selon votre fournisseur de services, tous les programmes

basés sur Java, tels que les jeux Java, peuvent être téléchargés

et exécutés sur un téléphone. Une fois téléchargés, les

programmes Java apparaissent dans le menu Applications, où

vous pouvez les sélectionner, les exécuter ou les supprimer. Les

fichiers de programme Java sont enregistrés dans votre téléphone

aux formats .JAD et .JAR.
