■ Controleren van bandenspanning

Controleer de bandenspanning regelmatig.

Een onjuiste bandenspanning kan leiden tot een hoog brandstofverbruik.

Winterbanden kunnen veel wrijving veroorzaken en kunnen als ze worden

gebruikt op droge wegen dus ook een hoger verbruik veroorzaken.

Gebruik banden die geschikt zijn voor het seizoen.

■ Bagage

Zware bagage kan leiden tot een hoger brandstofverbruik. Neem geen

onnodige bagage mee. Een groot imperiaal kan ook leiden tot een hoger

brandstofverbruik.

■ Opwarmen voor het rijden

Opwarmen van de motor is niet nodig, omdat de benzinemotor als hij

koud is automatisch start en weer wordt uitgeschakeld. Als vaak korte

afstanden worden gereden, warmt de motor herhaaldelijk op en ook dat

leidt tot een hoger brandstofverbruik.
