Drieweg-katalysator (katalysator)
Koolmonoxide, stikstofoxide en onverbrande koolwaterstoffen zijn de belangrijkste schadelijke
bestanddelen in de uitlaatgassen.
De katalysator is een “mini-laboratorium” waarin een zeer hoog percentage van de bestanddelen
tot onschadelijke stoffen wordt omgevormd.
Dit proces wordt uitgevoerd door zeer kleine deeltjes edelmetaal in het keramisch element dat
wordt omgeven door een metalen huis.
Lambdasonde
Alle benzine-uitvoeringen zijn uitgerust met een lambdasonde. Deze zorgt voor de juiste mengsel-
verhouding van lucht en benzine, wat zeer belangrijk is voor de juiste werking van de motor en de
katalysator.
Benzinedamp-opvangsysteem
Het is onmogelijk, ook bij stilstaande motor, benzinedampen te voorkomen. Daarom “vangt” dit
systeem de dampen in een speciaal actieve-koolfilter, waaruit de dampen bij draaiende motor
vervolgens afgezogen en verbrand worden.
