midier stops and the indicator lights up red.
You can also stop it at any time by pressing
a fourth time on the touch control button.
Important notes
Use only clean distilled or demineralised
water in order to avoid any malfunction.
Do not pour water into the diuser sprin-
kler tip in order to avoid any malfunction
and risk of re.
Make sure the reservoir cap is tightly closed
after lling in order to avoid any leakage or
electric shocks.
The reservoir must be kept clean. If there
is any dirt on the vapour emission dius-
er sprinkler tip, clean it with a brush or a
damp cloth.
Even though there is a
safety device that stops the
transducer from working, do
not leave the device connected
when you are not using it.
MAINTENANCE
AND STORAGE
Always switch o the humidier before per-
forming any maintenance or storage activities.
If the water contains too much calcium and
magnesium, it may deposit a “white pow-
der” in the device. If this foam is deposited
on the transducer
[
,
]
, this will prevent
the Breva humidier from working properly.
Maintenance
We recommend:
1 Using clean distilled or demineralised
water each time the device is used.
2 Cleaning the reservoir every
2 days and cleaning the
transducer every week.
3 Cleaning the device (see expla-
nations below) and making sure
that all of its parts are completely
dry when it is not in use.
To clean the transducer [
,
]:
1 Place 2 to 5 drops of vinegar on its
surface and leave for 2 to 5 minutes.
2 Brush the foam o the surface
using a soft brush. Do not use a
hard tool to scrape the surface.
3 Rinse the reservoir of the
base in clean water.
Do not use soap, solvent or spray cleaner
to clean the transducer.
To clean the basin [
,
]:
1 Clean the basin with water using
a soft cloth, and use vinegar if
there are any foam or limes-
cale deposits on the inside.
2 Rinse the basin in clean water.
To clean the diuser nozzle of the device
[
,
]
:
1 Clean it with a brush or damp cloth.
2 Rinse the vapour emission
sprinkler tip in clean water.
To clean the anti-scaling lter [
,
]:
1 The ceramic beads must be
cleaned after using approxi-
mately 1000ltr of water.
2 Remove the reservoir’s lter.
3 Put some white vinegar into
a glass and soak the lter for
approximately 10 minutes.
4 Remove the glass lter and
shake it several times.
5 Rinse the lter in clean water.
Storage
If you do not intend using the device for
a lengthy period, remove the reservoir’s
lter and allow it to dry completely, then
wrap in a protective package and store it
with the clean, dry humidier in a cool, dry
place out of direct light.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In the event of a malfunction under nor-
mal conditions of use, please refer to the
following list:
No operating indicator
light, no vapour
No voltage, no current.
Check that the device is connected
and that there is no mains fault.
Red indicator light, no vapour.
No water in the reservoir.
Pour clean distilled or demineralised
water into the reservoir.
The vapour has an
unpleasant odour.
The device is new.
Drain the water from the reservoir
and leave the reservoir to air
out for at least  hours.
The water is contaminated or has
been in the reservoir too long.
Unplug the device, drain the water
from the reservoir, rinse and clean
the reservoir, and ll the reservoir
with demineralised or distilled water.
Low vapour intensity.
The vapour emission sprinkler
tip is obstructed.
Unplug the device and clean the
vapour emission sprinkler tip.
The water is dirty or has been
standing in the reservoir for too long.
Clean the reservoir and ll it
with clean, fresh water.
Unusual noise emitted
during operation.
The device is on an unstable
or non-at surface.
Unplug the device and place
it on a at, stable surface.
Vapour leaves the device around
the diuser sprinkler tip.
There are gaps between the
sprinkler tip and reservoir.
Clean the diuser sprinkler tip
and replace it on the reservoir.
The following eects are not
regarded as malfunctions:
1 If your water is particularly hard
(contains a lot of minerals), the
humidier may produce a sort of
white dust. This is not a malfunc-
tion. The solution is to clean the
anti-limescale lter more frequently
or to use water that is not as hard.
2 If you stand close to the humidi-
er, you will hear the gurgling of
the water and this is normal.
3 The device runs very calmly but not
entirely quietly. A sound level of less
than 35dB is regarded as normal.
ADVICE ON WASTE
DISPOSAL
The packaging consists entirely of envi-
ronmentally-friendly materials that can be
taken to your local waste sorting centre to
be used as secondary materials. Cardboard
can be placed in a paper collection contain-
er. Packing lm must be taken to your local
sorting and recycling centre.
When you are no longer using the device,
dispose of it in an environmentally respon-
sible manner and in compliance with the
statutory requirements.
