Avoid heavy impact to or falling down of the measuring tool. Damage to the measuring
tool can impair its accuracy. After heavy impact or shock, compare the laser lines with a
known horizontal or vertical reference line.
8.3 Switching on and off
To switch on the measuring tool, push the On/Off switch 4 to the “On” position. Immediately
after switching on, the measuring tool sends out the horizontal 360° laser line.
Do not point the laser beam at persons or animals and do not look into the laser beam
yourself, not even from a large distance.
Press the laser selection key (3) to choose the needed laser lines. The key cycle
sequence is the following: 360° laser vertical laser 360° laser + vertical laser 360°
laser. The laser will start flashing if angle is +/- 4°.
To switch off the measuring tool, push the on/off switch 4 to the “Off” position. When
switching off, the levelling unit is locked.
Do not leave the switched on tool unattended and switch the tool off after use. Other
persons could be blinded by the laser beam.
When not using the measuring tool, switch it off in order to extend the battery life.
8.4 Lock mode
This mode cannot be used to perform horizontal or vertical levelling, because the laser lines
are no longer self-balancing.
Keep the power switch 4 off, press the mode button 3 to turn on the laser for 3 seconds. The
laser lines are now locked, and are no longer self-levelling.
1. Press the mode button 3 repeatedly to change the laser projection mode. The key
cycle sequence is the following: 360° laser vertical laser 360° laser + vertical
laser off
2. Slope your self-levelling cross-line laser level to project a straight line for reference.
In this mode, the laser lines are projected continuously.
3. To turn the laser off, press the mode button 3 repeatedly until the laser shuts off.
8.5 Working Advice
8.5.1 Working with the tripod
A tripod offers a stable, height-adjustable measuring support. Place the measuring tool via the
tripod mount 5 on to the 1/4" male thread of the tripod and screw the locking screw of the
tripod tight.
8.5.2 Holding laterally against a wall or object
For quick checking of heights, the measuring tool can be held laterally against a vertical wall,
cabinets, etc. Take care to hold the measuring tool straightly and calmly.
9 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Check the measuring tool each time before use. In case of visible damage or loose
components inside the measuring tool, safe function can no longer be ensured.
Keep the measuring tool clean and dry at all times to ensure proper and safe working.
Wipe off debris using a moist and soft cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
