8. To stop playback, press the STOP ■ button.

Fast Forward / Fast Rewind & Skipping Tracks

• To jump to the beginning of the currently playing track, press the button once. Press it a sec-

ond time to skip to the previous track.

• To skip to the next track, press the button once.

• To fast forward the currently playing track, press and hold the button. Once you reach the

desired section of the track, release the button to resume normal playback.

• To fast rewind the currently playing track, press and hold the button. Once you reach the

desired section of the track, release the button to resume normal playback.

Repeat Modes

At any time during playback,

• press the REPEAT button once to repeat the current track. “REPT. 1” will be shown in the display.

• press the REPEAT button twice to repeat all tracks. “REPT. ALL” will be shown in the display.

• press the REPEAT button a third time to deactivate the repeat function.

Programming Track Order

You may store up to 20 tracks in a desired sequence.

1. While in CD stop mode, press the PROG. button. “PROG.” will be ashing and “P-01” will be

shown.

2. Using the and buttons, select the track to be played rst in the sequence.

3. Press the PROG. button again. “P-02” will be shown in the display.

4. Repeat the steps 2 - 3 to select up to 20 tracks for your sequence.

5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start the playback of your sequence.

6. To delete your sequence, press the STOP ■ button twice.

USB MP3 Playback

This unit is equipped with a USB socket which can accept and play MP3 les stored on standard USB

ash drives (also known as “pen drives”) which are for memory storage.

1. Insert a suitable USB ash drive into the USB port on the unit.

2. Switch the unit on and select the USB mode by pressing the FUNCTION button.

3. The USB ash drive will be read and the total number of tracks will be shown in the display.

4. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start the playback.

5. To temporarily stop the playback (pause), press the PLAY/PAUSE button once. Press the but-

ton again to resume playback.

6. The basic skip and search functions are the same as in CD mode.

7. If there are several folders stored on your USB device, you can select between these by repeat-

edly pressing the FOLDER button.

8. To skip 10 tracks at once, press the +10 button.

9. To stop playback, press the STOP ■ button.

Notes:

• A USB device must always be connected directly to the USB port of this product. The use of a

USB extension cord is not supported by this product. The USB port of this product cannot com-

municate with a computer directly.

• The reading time for a USB drive varies depending on the speed of the memory device and the

number of songs and folders. In some cases the reading time may be as long as 60 seconds.

• Always switch off the unit before removing a USB ash drive to prevent damage to your USB

device or memory card. The manufacturer is not responsible for the loss or damage of data.

• This unit does not support USB MP3 players due to their inherent lack of software compatibility.

Only USB “pen drives” (ash memory usb drives) can be used for MP3 playback.

• Only MP3 les can be played. Due to numerous methods of compression it could be that some

les or USB ash drives cannot be played.
