• Para apilar los cestos correctamente, asegúrese que los salientes
en la parte inferior de los cestos encajen bien en las señales
previstas en el borde del recipiente de abajo.
Precaución: utilice siempre las asas laterales para mover los
recipientes o bandejas. Preste atención durante la colocación de
las canastas porque si no se colocan correctamente, el vapor
puede escapar a través de los laterales del aparato y puede
causarle quemaduras.
• Coloque la tapa en la canasta superior. Asegúrese de que los
orificios de la tapa no están bloqueados, ya que el vapor debe
poder circular y escapar. NO OPERE A ESTE APARATO SIN LA TAPA
PUESTA - DURANTE SU USO GENERA VAPOR.
• Conecte el cable de alimentación a un tomacorriente.
• Gire la perilla de control/temporizador al valor adecuado para
los alimentos que desea cocinar al vapor (vea la Guía de cocina
más adelante). La luz piloto se encenderá. Si el tiempo de
cocción es inferior a 10 minutos, gire el dial pasando los 10
minutos y luego retórnelo al tiempo de cocción deseado.
• Una vez transcurrido el tiempo de cocción, sonará el timbre y se
apagarán la luz piloto y el elemento calefactor. Desconecte el
cable de alimentación y usando guantes protectores o
manoplas, levante con cuidado la tapa y el recipiente de
cocción, teniendo cuidado de evitar el contacto facial o de las
manos con el vapor. Advertencia: ¡el vapor puede causar
escaldaduras y quemaduras!
• Comprobar la comida para asegurarse de que esté bien cocida.
Si no, vuelva a colocar los recipientes de cocción y reinicie la
perilla de control. Compruebe el nivel de agua para asegurarse
de que el depósito no está vacío.
Nota: El agua en el equipo se calienta a 212 °F (100 °C). Tenga
mucho cuidado mientras cocina al vapor los alimentos, al extraerlos
o cuando usted pueda entrar en contacto con el agua o el vapor.
No toque al elemento calefactor.
Nota: es posible volver a llenar el depósito de agua durante la
cocción, utilizando para ello una botella de agua y añadiendo el
agua a través de los laterales de la bandeja de goteo.
