Getting started
The next person to celebrate his or her birthday starts. Cast the dice and move your
counter as many squares forward as you cast, going in the direction of the clock
(clockwise). Did you land on a square occupied by another player? Place your counter
on the next empty square. There are three different squares on the board:
Camera square
Did you land on a square with a camera on it? Pick up the camera (while everyone
makes funny jungle noises). Point your camera at one of the other players and take
a picture! Pull the picture out of the camera and show it to everybody. If you like the
animal, collect all four.
Watch out! You can only collect one kind of animal. If you already have an elephant, you
can’t keep a giraffe, hippopotamus, monkey or lion. Neither can you collect a type of
animal already chosen by someone else to collect. Is it another animal? Put the picture
next to the board face down.
Now it is the turn of the player to your left.
Question mark square
Did you land on a square with a question mark on it? Turn one of the pictures lying next
to the board face up. Note where the animal pictures you collect are placed. Are there
no pictures next to the board? That’s too bad! Your turn is now over. Did you fi nd the
right picture? Put it in your frame. Did you choose the wrong one? Turn the picture face
down again.
Now it is the turn of the player to your left.
A red square
Did you land on a red square? That’s too bad! You will have to skip a turn. It is now the
turn of the player to your left.
Who is the winner?
The player who is the fi rst to collect a set of four of the same animals is the lucky winner!
