1 Inschakelen (A)
• Druk AAN/UIT 1 seconde in
om LUCAS in te schakelen en
de zelftest te starten
2 Onderplaat (B)
• Onderbreek handmatige CPR
• Plaats de onderplaat voorzichtig
onder de patiënt, onder de
oksels
• Ga verder met handmatige CPR
3 Compressor (C)
• Trek eenmaal aan de ontgren-
delringen, zodat de klauwver-
grendelingen open gaan; laat de
ontgrendelringen vervolgens los
• Bevestig aan de onderplaat;
luister of u een "klik" hoort
• Trek eenmaal omhoog om te
controleren op een juiste
bevestiging
4 De zuignap plaatsen
• Plaats de zuignap centraal
boven de borst
• De onderrand van de zuignap
moet zich net boven het
uiteinde van het sternum
bevinden
5 De zuignap omlaag
drukken
• Druk de zuignap met twee
vingers omlaag (zorg dat de
modus AANPASSEN is
geactiveerd)
• Het drukkussen in de zuignap
moet de borst van de patiënt
raken; ga verder met handma-
tige hartmassage als het
drukkussen niet raakt of niet
goed past
• Druk op PAUZE om de startpo-
sitie te vergrendelen, en haal
dan pas uw vingers van de
zuignap af
6 Met compressies
starten
• Controleer op een juiste
positionering; maak zo nodig
aanpassingen
• Druk op ACTIEF (continu) of
ACTIEF (30:2)
• LUCAS voert compressies uit
volgens de richtlijnen
7 LUCAS-
stabilisatieband
• Bevestig de LUCAS-
stabilisatieband
