Before you begin
1. Assign channel/channels for sensor/sensors.
2. Insert batteries for Sensor/Sensors before doing so for the Temperature Station.
3. Place the Sensor as close as possible to the Temperature Station, reset the
Temperature Station after installing/replacing batteries. This will ensure easier
synchronization between the transmission and reception of signals.
The synchronization may take up to 3 minutes.
4. Position the remote and Temperature Station within effective transmisson range,
which, under normal circumstances , is 20 to 30 meters.
Note that the effective range is highly affected by building materials and the
position of the Sensor and Temperature Station. Try different set-ups for best result.
Though the sensor is weather proof, it should be placed away from direct sunlight,
rain or snow.
Installing / replacing batteries and channel
selection
The unit uses two “AAA” size batteries. (Included
- mounted in the battery-compartment).
Follow these steps to install or replace the batteries:
1. Open the battery-cover on the back of the Sensor.
2. Unscrew the 6 screws securing the battery
compartment lid.
3. Select the channel no. on the CHANNEL slide
switch.
4. Mount the batteries as indicated by the
polarity symbols (+/-) marked inside the battery
compartment.
5. Replace the lid and tighten screws.
6. Replace the battery-cover. Replace the batteries
when the low-battery indicator of the particular
channel appears on the Temperature Station.
(Repeat the steps described in the section
Before you begin).
Note: Once a channel has been assigned to a Sensor,
it can only be changed by moving the slide switch
to another channel, and then repeating the steps
described in the section Before you begin.
Getting started
Once batteries are installed in the Sensor(s), the
Sensor(s) will start to transmit temperature readings
at approx. 30-second intervals. The Temperature
station will search for signals for about 3 minutes,
once batteries are installed.
Upon successful reception, the individual channel
temperatures will be displayed.
The Temperature Station will automatically update its reading every 30 seconds. If
no signals are received, blanks “- - -.-” will be displayed. Press CHANNEL and MIN/
MAX simultaneously to enforce another search for about 30 seconds. This is useful
in synchronizing the transmission and reception of the sensors and the Temperature
Station.
