FITTING INSTRUCTIONS CONNECTIONS
1. Isolate the vehicle’s battery prior to starting the installation.
2. Mount the module as stated in the paragraph “MODULE POSITION”.
3. Connect the BROWN wire to a good earth.
4. Connect the PINK wire (positive when armed alarm) to the PINK wire of GT alarm.
5. Connect the GREEN/BLACK wire to the GREEN/BLACK wire of the GT alarm as indicated in FIG.A.
MODULE POSITION
Position the module in the passenger’s compartment, behind the centre console (radio space). Face the module’s transmitting side towards the rear
seat or slightly turn it towards the roof (see FIG. B). For soft top vehicles only, it is advisable to secure the module under the centre console (near
the hand brake lever) with it’s transmitting side facing the roof.
NOTE: the position suggested above are indicative, therefore always find the optimum position of the module by testing during installation.
The module must not be mounted:
a. on the dashboard;
b. on the roof pointing towards the floor;
c. near the glove compartments containing metal objects (coins, keys, etc);
d. near metal
TESTING
Remove any items that may create false alarm through movement inside the vehicle. Close the doors but leave just enough room through each
window to introduce an arm. “Set” the alarm and wait for a few minutes. Introduce your arm through the gap and move it around. The microwave
trigger LED will illuminate and the alarm will activate. To increase the microwave senor sensitivity turn the adjuster clockwise. Beware that it is
possible to increase sensitivity to a point at which it will become too sensitive and may cause false alarms. To check that it is not over sensitive,
move your arms across the outside of the windows and the soft top roof (where applicable). This should not trigger the alarm.
NOTE: only the introduction of an object should trigger the alarm, therefore it is possible to leave the roof open without causing false alarm.
