Safety instructions and precautions

Warning

1. To avoid damage to the power cord

or plug

a) Do not modify the power cord or plug.

b) Do not bend or twist the power cord.

c) Make sure to disconnect the power cord by holding the plug.

d) Keep heating appliances as far as possible from the power cord in

order to prevent the cover vinyl from melting.

e) You should have easy access to the mains plug at all times.

2. To avoid electrical shock

a) Do not open the main body of the YouView box.

b) Do not insert metal or ﬂammable objects into the box.

c) Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

d) Unplug the box from the mains socket if there is severe lightning.

e) Unplug the box to install the aerial cable.

3. To avoid damage to your YouView

box

Do not use the box if it is out of order. If you continue to use it when

defective, you might cause serious damage. Please contact your local

box distributor if the box is out of order.

4. To avoid damage of the hard

disk drive

a) Do not move the box or turn the power off suddenly while the hard

disk drive is running.

b) The company shall not be liable for any corruption of data on the

hard disk drive caused by carelessness or misuse.

my humax has been conected to my t.v. but I dusted and must has disturbed some thing I get that it is all working but no sound or picture. Help please J.illinghast Submitted on 3-11-2022 at 12:07

Why does my jvc smart tv not receive the signal from my humax box ie no info on the tv screen I have used a hdmi connection cable also connected through the aerial . I have even tried a spliter for the aerial so I have one feed going into the humax and a separate one going to the tv so they both work independently still no sign from the humax box to the tv.Also they both have independent earth net connection cables to them. Is the tv blocking the signal do I need a EDID emulator between the humax and the tv? The main problem is no picture on the tv so I can't set the humax box up. Submitted on 26-11-2020 at 12:49
