DAGELIJKS GEBRUIK
Om de meter in te schakelen drukt u gedurende 4 seconden op de ON
knop. De meter schakelt nu in.
In het display verschijnt de huidige softwareversie. Ook ziet u de gekozen
satelliet en een symbool welke de status van de accu weergeeft.
Op het moment dat deze informatie uit het display is verdwenen zal de
meter gaan meten op de eerste satellietpositie. In het scherm kunt u de
satellietinformatie zien en de polariteit, bijv. H of V.
Op de tweede rij ziet u een S staan en mogelijk een indicatie met een
uitslag tot maximaal 256 streepjes (32 streepjes zichtbaar). Daaronder
staat de tekst “Zoekt”.
Op de onderste regel staat ook nog een accu-indicatie.
Het aantal streepjes in het batterij tekentje zegt iets over de status van
de accu. Elk streepje is ca. 25%, hoe meer streepjes, hoe voller de accu.
Wanneer de indicatie geen streepjes heeft of staat de knipperen is er
minder dan 10% beschikbaar en moet u de meter weer opladen.
Tijdens het afstellen van een installatie kunt u met de HDSM de
signaalsterkte en de kwaliteit controleren. Houdt er echter wel rekening
mee dat per installatie de signaalniveaus kunnen verschillen.
Dit wordt veroorzaakt door schotelgrootte, type LNB, soort kabel,
weersomstandigheden en geografische ligging.
Als eerste selecteert u middels de pijltjes toetsen (links en rechts) de
satelliet waarop u de schotel wilt uitrichten. De meeste satellieten hebben
horizontale en verticale transponders. Per satelliet kunt u dus kiezen voor
Verticaal of Horizontaal tenzij de satelliet slechts een polariteit heeft
(digitaal). Nadat u de juiste satelliet geselecteerd hebt kunt u gaan
meten.
Op het moment dat de geselecteerde satelliet is gevonden zal de tekst
“Zoekt” verdwijnen en zal hier een extra meter (percentage) komen te
staan met als aanduiding de letter Q. De vierde regel geeft de tekst
“Gevonden”. Dit is een indicatie dat de gewenste satelliet is gevonden.
