OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Intended use
• This device is suitable for toasting bread only. The roll attachment is intended only for crisping up rolls or
croissants. Any other use can lead to damage to the device or injuries.
Unpacking and checking
• Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would
like to store the device away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then
please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
• Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be
complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.
• Remove all foils from the device.
Preparation
• Before first using this device, we recommend that the toaster be operated without bread slices four to five
times at the highest toasting level. In this way, any possible existing production residues can be removed.
• A slight odour could occur upon first use. This odour dissipates after a short time. Make sure to have good
ventilation.
• Always let the toaster cool off sufficiently before switching it on again.
• Note: The control lever (2) only locks in if the device has been connected to the power supply beforehand.
Toasting bread
• Put one or two slices of bread into the bread slot (1).
• Check whether the crumb tray (13) is properly inserted.
• Connect the plug (12) to a suitable power outlet.
• Set the desired toasting level with the dial (9). You can select from among 7 toasting levels. The lowest
level achieves the lightest toasting while the highest level achieves the darkest. Levels 3 and 4 generally
result in a gold-brown toasting of the toast. The toasting is dependent on the type of bread. Therefore, we
recommend that several trials are conducted.
• Press the control lever (2) down to begin the toasting procedure. The operation indicator (8) beside the
Stopp button (7) lights up.
• When the toast is ready, the control lever springs back to the start position and the device switches itself off
automatically. The operation indicator (8) extinguishes.
• Lift function: Press the control lever slightly upwards in order to be able to remove toast slices easily.
• You can manually end the toasting procedure at any time. Press the Stopp button (7). The control lever
springs upwards and the toast can be removed.
