OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Intended use
• The device is intended only for the preparation of food. Any other use can lead to damages of the device or
injuries.
Prior to first use
• Carefully take the device and its accessories out of the packaging. Retain the packaging in case you would
like to store the device away or transport it at a later date. If you choose to dispose of the packaging, then
please do so according to the applicable legal regulations.
• Check the packaging contents for completeness and damages. Should the contents in the packaging not be
complete or be damaged, do not use the device. Return it to your retail outlet immediately.
• Mount the supplied lid handle (1) onto the glass lid (5) as portrayed in the figure on page 14.
• Prior to first use, clean the glass lid (5) and the heating surface (12) with a damp cloth. Then dry off all parts
thoroughly.
• Place this device on a solid, even and heat resistant surface. There should be a minimum distance of at least
15 cm all around the device. Keep easily flammable materials (e.g. curtains, textiles, walls) away from this
device.
Turning on the device
• Before inserting the thermostat, make sure that the temperature control dial (11) is on OFF. Then connect
the thermostat to the socket (7).
• When inserting the thermostat, make sure that it is properly connected to the device. The temperature
control dial (11) should be facing upwards. An incorrectly inserted thermostat can result in personal injury or
damages to the device.
• Connect the power plug (9) to a suitable power outlet.
• Set the temperature control dial (11) to the desired temperature. Use the following table to select the
appropriate temperature.

2 approx. 100-150° C Fry food
3, 4 approx. 150-200° C e.g. scrambled eggs, pancakes,
ham, smoked meat
5 approx. 240° C Pizza
