De Trivial Pursuit™ DVD Lord of the Rings Editie biedt 20 voorgeprogrammeerde
spellen. Dat betekent dat je Spel 1 tot Spel 20 kunt spelen zonder ooit eenzelfde vraag
te krijgen. In het DVD hoesje zit een overzicht met de verschillende spellen. Op die
manier kun je bijhouden welke spellen je al dan niet hebt gespeeld. In het hoofdmenu
met spellen (Game Selection Screen) kies je een spel en daar ga je dan.
LET OP: De spellen zijn genoemd naar de belangrijke plaatsen uit The Fellowship (de
Reisgenoten). Bijvoorbeeld: The Shire (de Gouw), Bree, etc. De vragen binnen ieder
spel zijn echter niet beperkt tot het gebied waarnaar het spel is genoemd.
Nadat je een spel hebt geselecteerd, wacht de DVD in het hoofdmenu met categorieën
(Category Selection Screen).
Spel
Eerste ronde:
Als jij aan de beurt bent, gooi je de dobbelsteen en kies je op welke kleur/categorie je
wilt belanden. Je beslist ook langs welke spaak je je speelschijf wenst te verplaatsen.
Wanneer je zes gooit, kom je meteen terecht op een scoorvakje en probeer je het
overeenkomstige kleurpartje te winnen door de vraag van die categorie correct te
beantwoorden.
Volgens de kleur van het vakje waarop je terecht komt, wordt je een vraag uit die
categorie door een tegenspeler gesteld. Die pakt de voorste kaart uit de kaarthouder en
leest de vraag voor van de kleur waarop je speelschijf staat. De antwoorden op de
vragen staan aan de achterzijde van de kaart. Wanneer je klaar bent met de vraag stop
je ze terug in de kaarthouder, achter de andere kaarten.
Als je de eerste vraag correct hebt beantwoord, gooi je de dobbelsteen opnieuw en
verplaats je je speelschijf met het aantal gegooide ogen. Je blijft aan zet tot je een fout
antwoord geeft. Vervolgens is de speler links van jou aan de beurt.

Groen: Het goede
Blauw: Het kwade
Oranje: Plaatsen en geschiedenis
Rood: Voorwerpen
Geel: Oorlog
Bruin: Films
