Electrical Safety Re quirements
Note:
1. T he s urrounding c onditions (ambient temper ature , di rect s unlight and r ainwater) shall be noticed during
electr ic al wiri ng, w ith ef fective protecti ve measures being taken.
2. Coppe r wire cable in line with local standards shall be used as the power line and connector wire.
3. Both the indoor unit and outdoor unit s hall be reliably earthed.
4. Wiring for the outdoor unit shall be m ade f irst and then the i ndoor unit. T he air conditioner can only be
powered on after wiring and pipe connection .
5. The dedicated branch cir cuit must be us ed, and leakage protector with sufficient capacity must be installed.
Q ualificat ion Requirements of Installer
Relevant qualific a tion certificate must be obtained as per national laws and regulations.
Indoor Unit Installation
1. Fixation of w all panel and piping layout
In case of left/r ight water pipe connection for the indoor unit, or in case the evaporator interface of the indoor
unit and t he hor n mouth of the c onnecting piping ca nnot be extende d to the outdoor side fo r inst all a tion, the
connector pipes shall be connected to the evaporator pipi ng inter face of t he indoor unit in the pr o c ess of horn
mouth.
2. Piping layout
During layout of connecting pipes, dr ain hose and connector wir es, the drain hose and connecting wire shall
be placed at the bottom and top r espec tively. The pow er line cannot be twined with the connector wire. The drain
pipes (especially inside the room and machine) must be winded with thermal insula tion materials.
3. Nitrogen c harging for pressu r e maintaining and leak detection
After the eva porator of the indoor unit is connected to the connector pipe (after welding), nitr ogen more than
4.0MPa shall be charged inside the eva porator and the piping connected to eva porator with a nitrogen cylinder
(adjusted by a reducing v a lve). Afterwards , the valve of the nitr ogen cylinder sh all be closed, f or l eak detection
with soapy water or leak detecting s olution. The pressure sha ll be maintained for more than 5 minutes, and then
whether the system pressure is reduced or not s hall be observed. I n case t he pressure i s r educed, leakage can be
identified. After the leak point is handle d, the steps above shall be r epeated.
After the evaporator of the i ndoor unit is conne cted to connec ting piping, nitrogen s h all be c harge d for
pressure maintaining and leak detection. Afterwards, the evaporator shall be connected to the two-way stop valve
and three-way stop valve of the out door unit. Af ter the copper cap of the connecting piping is fastened, nitrogen
more than 4.0MPa shall be charged at the access hole of the thr ee-way stop valve with a charging hose. The valve
of the nitrogen cylinder shall be closed, for leak dete ction with soapy w ater or l eak detecting solution. The
pressure shall be maintained for more than 5 minutes, and then whether the s ystem pressure is reduced or not shall
be observed. I n case the pressure is r educed, leakage can be identified. After the leak point is handled, the steps
above shall be repeated.
The operation above can also be completed after the indoor unit is connected to the connecting pipelines and
the two-way stop valve and three-way stop valve of the outdoor unit, after the access hole of the outdoor unit is
connected to the nitrogen cylinder and pressure gauge and after more than 4.0MPa nit rogen is charged. No leak
points a re identif ied in the leak detection a t the joint/welding junc tion of the indoor unit and at the join t of
connecting pipelines of the t wo-way stop valve and three-way s top valve of the outdoor unit. It must be
guaranteed that each joint is a vailable for lea k detection during installation.
The next s t ep (vacuumizing with a vacuum pump) can only be continu e d after the installation steps ( nitr ogen
charging for pressure maintaining and le ak dete ction normal) a re completed.
O utdoor Unit Installation
1. Fixation and c onnection
Note:
a) Fire sour ce shall be avoided within 3m around the place of installation.
b) The leak detection equipment of r efrigerant shall be placed at a low position in the
outdoor, and shall be opened.
4
1) Fixation
The support of the outdoor unit shall be fixed onto the wall surface, and then the outdoor unit shall be fixed onto
the support horizontally. I n case the outdoor unit is wall-mounted or r oof-m ounted, t he support shall be fi rmly
fixed, to avoid the damage of strong wind.
2) I nstallation of connecting pipes
The cone of the connecting pipes shal l be aligned with the conical surface of corresponding valve connector.
The nut of connecting pipes s hal l be installed at a prop er posi tion and then be tightene d with a spanner. Excessive
tightening to rque shall be avoide d, or otherwise the nut may be damaged.
Vacuu mizin g
A digital va cuum gauge shall be connected for vacuumizing. The duration of vacuumizing shall be at least 15
minutes , and the pressure of the vacuum gauge shall be below 60Pa.Afterwards, the vacuumizing equipment shall
be closed, and whether the reading of the digit al vacuum gauge is incr ease d or not shall be observed after t he
pressure is maintained for 5 minutes. In case no l eakage is identified, the two-way stop valve and three-way stop
valve of the outdoor unit may be opene d. F inally, t he va cuumizing hose conn e cted to the outdoor unit ca n be
disassembled.
Leak Detection
The joint of c onnecting pipes f or the out door unit shall be subjec t to l eak detection with soap bubble or
dedicated leak de tection equipment.
