Nu komt de grote toverfinale:
Pak de magische steen en beweeg hem in cirkels boven de
kaarten (afbeelding 10).
Zeg: „Ik kan met behulp van de magische steen jouw
gedachten lezen. Dit is de uitgekozen kaart!“ Houd de magi-
sche steen voor het hoofd van de toeschouwer. Daarna leg je
de steen op de achtste kaart (afbeelding 11).
Vraag de toeschouwer of hij de kaart, waarop je de magische
steen hebt gelegd, wil omdraaien.
Iedereen is enorm verbaasd: je hebt werkelijk de uitgekozen
kaart gevonden (afbeelding 12)!
8. Herhaal de stappen 4 tot 7 (afbeelding 2 tot 8) een
tweede en derde keer.
Benadruk dat de magische steen zich op de gedachten
van de toeschouwer moet instellen en je daarom alle
handelingen verschillende keren moet herhalen.
9. Na de derde keer heb je opnieuw alle kaarten in je hand.
Leg de kaarten verdekt op een rij. Tel in gedachten met
de kaarten mee (afbeelding 9).
Belangrijk: Onthoud waar je de achtste kaart op de tafel
neerlegt.
De tovertruc berust op een wiskundig verschijnsel: de
achtste kaart is altijd de kaart die door de toeschouwer is
uitgekozen.
