This manual contains safety and operating instructions. Read it carefully before using the device for the first time
and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
The CA 150 and CA 360 chargers are designed for charging 12V and 24V lead acid battery with liquid electrolyte
from 40 to 350Ah (CA 360) or 35 to 150Ah (CA 150).
I - OPERATING
The CA 150 and CA 360 are traditional chargers.
The CA 150 is an automatic charger which can be left connected unsupervised.
The CA 360 is both automatic and manual. Charging a battery on the manual position requires monitoring and for
the charge to be stopped manually. It is able to charge without any voltage limitation to recover a discharged
battery or to perform fast charge (high current for a short period).

The CA 150 has two charging modes : standard charge and boost.
Le CA 360 has three charging modes : standard charge, slow boost and fast boost.
II - CHARGE :
1- Charge in a well ventilated area.
2- Connect the plug to a 230V mains earthed outlet. Ensure the charger is switched to the OFF position (green
switch).
3- Remove the battery caps (if any) and check that the liquid level (electrolyte) is correct, if not top up with
distilled water. Clean the battery terminals and lugs.
4- Check the battery capacity is within the charging range of the charger.
5- For multi-voltage models turn the knob to the desired voltage: 12V or 24V.
6- For the CA 360, select the type of charge: automatic or manual.
7- Connect the clamps (+ red and black) to the battery terminals.
8- Switch the unit on, adjust the current output by selecting the mode, slow or fast with the 3 position knob (CA
360.) We recommend a charge level of 1/15 of the battery capacity (in Ah). Above 1/10 of this capacity the
charger delivers a high current which is only appropriate for a quick charge.
9- Once the charge is complete, turn the power switch to the OFF position before disconnecting the cables from
the battery.
III - ADVICE
Starting
Do not start the vehicle with the charger connected to the battery. This will blow the fuse.
Problems
A quick charge can cause problems:
- The fuse blows and stops the charge.
- The OK light indicator is on but without the battery being charged, it starts and stops regularly.
In this case restart the charger after selecting the slowest charging mode available.
Thermal protection
The charger is fitted with a thermostat. If it gets too hot, the charger will stop working. Place the unit in a
ventilated room, wait until it cools down to turn the charger on (wait 10-20 minutes)
