Problem Reason The Solution
The amount of juice is not
sufficient.
You are pressing to hard
onto the pusher.
Reduce the pressure on the pusher. Repeatedly push
down and lift up the pusher during juicing.
Your food is not suited
to the juicer.
Process the types of food given in chapter ‘Tips for Best
Results’.
Fibrous food may clog
the sieve and blades of
the filter basket.
Switch OFF and unplug the appliance. Then clean the fil-
ter basket (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’). Reduce the pressu-
re applied to the pusher during juicing.
The food is not fresh. After a longer period of storage, food may become wilted
and dry. Only use really fresh ingredients.
CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING: Always unplug the appliance, before moving, disassembling, or
cleaning the appliance. Do not hold your hands or any foreign objects into
the feed chute, into the filter basket or on the coupling on the motor base
with the appliance still connected to the power supply.
The blades at the bottom of the filter basket are very sharp
and the walls
of the filter basket are made of a fine sieve. Always handle the filter basket with
caution to avoid injuries and damage. Do not touch the blades with your fingers.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids (e.g. bleach, solving
agents) for cleaning the appliance or any part of it, to avoid damage to the sur-
faces. Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning (e.g. scoring pads,
knives, scrapers). Do not immerse the motor base or the power cord in water or any
other liquid. Do not spill or drip any liquids on or in the motor base or power cord
to avoid risk of fire and electric shock.
DO NOT clean the motor base or power cord in an automatic dishwasher.
DO NOT dry the plastic parts via a heat source (e.g. stove, oven) to avoid
distortion. Do not use violence!
The removable parts may be cleaned in an automatic dishwasher: pulp container,
cover of the pulp container, filter basket, pusher, juice jug, and lid of the juice jug.
If possible, place these parts on the top rack for cleaning.
In general, you should avoid to leave any food dry on the parts of the appliance
after processing. This way, you can keep the appliance hygienically clean.
Some fruits may discolour the accessories. This will not affect the functions of the
appliance. Usually, the discolouration will disappear with time.
