Initial operation
Plug the countdown timer (without any device plugged in!) into a suitable mains socket (with
a protective earth conductor).
Plug the consumer into the socket on the front of the countdown timer. Insert the plug all the
way.
If the consumer connected to the countdown timer has a mains switch, turn this on.
Press the “START” button on the countdown timer.
The socket on the front of the countdown timer is activated, the mains voltage connected and
the signal lamp next to the “STOP” button lights up.
The timer run starts, the LC display shows the current timer time in the format MM:SS
(minutes:seconds).
After expiration of the time, the mains voltage of the countdown timer's socket is cut off and
the signal lamp goes off.
If desired, you can restart the timer run now.
If you want to terminate the timer run early, press “STOP”.
This cuts off the mains voltage of the countdown timer's socket and the signal lamp goes off.
At the next start of the countdown timer via the button “START”, the timer run starts again
at 60 minutes.
Maintenance and care
The product does not require any maintenance. You should never open it or take it apart.
Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the socket. Clean the outer side with a dry,
clean, soft cloth. Never use aggressive cleansing agents or solvents since these may damage
the surface of the housing or impair its operation.
Disposal
Electronic and electronic devices must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life according to the relevant
legal provisions and regulations (e.g. return it to a special recycling facility of your
town).

Intended Use
The product has a socket that is automatically turned off via the integrated countdown timer
after expiration of the countdown time (60 minutes). You can plug in a lamp or a similar suitable
device which will be switched on and off automatically after 60 minutes.
The product is only intended for operation in dry indoor rooms.
All safety instructions and notes on operation in this manual must be observed. These
instructions not only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the

The product is designed in conformity with protection class 2. The only voltage
source that may be used is the correct mains socket-(230V~/50Hz, with
protective conductor) of the public supply system.
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around. Children might try
to put objects through the openings of the socket for example. There is a risk
of a fatal electric shock.
The product must only be used in dry interiors, it must not get damp or wet.
Never touch the product or the mains plug into which you want to insert the
countdown timer with damp or wet hands.

Never pull a mains plug connected to the outlet of the countdown timer out of
the outlet by the cable. Always pull the plug from the socket by the gripping
area provided on the side.
Fans, heaters, fan heaters or radiators with open elements should not be
operated unattended. We recommend not connecting such devices to the
countdown timer. Danger of fire!
Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy
for children!
Handle the product carefully, it can be damaged by impacts, strikes or by
falling from a low height.
If the housing of the product is damaged, do not use the product any more!
When it is connected to the mains, neither touch the countdown timer nor the
connected devices. Switch off the mains socket first to which it is connected
(switch off the circuit breaker). Then you can remove the countdown timer from
the mains socket. Take the product to a specialist workshop or dispose of it in
an environmentally friendly way.
