Bespielbare (CD-R) und
wiederbespielbare (CD-RW)
CDs werden aus technischen
Gründen möglicherweise nicht
korrekt wiedergegeben.
Die CD-Spieler der Audiogeräte
können nur CDs wiedergeben,
die der Spezifikation des 'International
Red Book' entsprechen.
Kopiergeschützte CDs einiger
Hersteller entsprechen dieser
Spezifikation nicht und werden
möglicherweise nicht korrekt
wiedergegeben.
Die derzeit in der Musikindustrie
zunehmend Verwendung
findenden CDs mit dualen Formaten
oder beidseitig bespielte CDs (DVD
Plus, CD-DVD) sind dicker als
normale CDs. Eine korrekte
Wiedergabe in Ford- und
Sony-CD-Geräten kann deshalb nicht
gewährleistet werden, es besteht die
Möglichkeit von mechanischen
Störungen.
Garantieansprüche werden
nicht angenommen, wenn diese
Art von Disc in einem zu
Reparaturzwecken eingesandten
Audiogerät gefunden wird.
Mit Ausnahme des Audiogeräts
6000MP3 sind die CD-Spieler
ausschließlich zum Abspielen
handelsüblicher 12-cm-Audio-CDs
vorgesehen.
Mit einem von Sony
freigegebenen Adapter (CSA-8)
kann das Sony-CD-Gerät auch
8-cm-CDs (nicht 6CD) abspielen.
In den CD-Spieler dürfen keine
unregelmäßig geformte CDs
eingelegt werden. CDs mit Schutzfilm
oder Klebeetiketten dürfen nicht
abgespielt werden.
Das Audiogerät kann durch
Einstecken von Gegenständen
wie Kreditkarten oder Münzen in den
CD-Schacht beschädigt werden.
