4. Liever ronde/ovale schalen dan vierkante/rechthoekige aangezien voedsel in de hoekjes de neiging
heeft aan te branden.
3. Gebruik geen producten van gerecycled papier tijdens het koken met de magnetron aangezien dit
kleine metaaldelen kan bevatten wat vonken en eventueel brand kan veroorzaken.
2. De magnetron kan niet door metaal heen komen, dus kookgerei en schalen met een metalen rand
mogen niet worden gebruikt in de magnetron.
1. Het ideale materiaal om te gebruiken als kookgerei in de magnetron is transparant voor microgolven,
laat de energie door de houder gaan en verwarmt het voedsel.
5. Smalle stroken aluminum folie kunnen worden gebruikt om te voorkomen dat blootgestelde
gebieden aanbranden. Gebruik echter niet teveel folie en hou een afstand van 2.54 cm tussen de
folie en de magnetronruimte.
