DIT DIENT U TE WETEN ALS U DE AIRCO GEBRUIKT:
Als u de airco hebt uitgeschakeld zal hij zich de eerste drie minuten daarna
niet laten herstarten. Dat is een veiligheidsvoorziening die automatisch
wordt ingeschakeld. De ventilator werkt ondertussen wel.
Bij sommige modellen zal de airco niet onmiddellijk bij uitschakeling
stoppen met het het uitblazen van lucht. Ook kan het bij het opstarten even
duren voor de airco daadwerkelijk koelt. Dat zijn veiligheidsvoorzieningen:
de ventilator droogt de airco ter voorkoming van schimmelvorming en de
klep blijft nog even open staan.
Tijdens het drogen kan de airco stoppen met blazen. Dat komt omdat de
ventilator in de binnen-unit dan is stilgezet, om te voorkomen dat deze
stoom of te vochtige lucht uitblaast en om energie te sparen.
Soms kan er tijdens het koelen mistige lucht uit het apparaat komen. Dit
gebeurt wanneer de temperatuur en de vochtigheid in de ruimte erg hoog
zijn. Het zal verdwijnen wanneer temperatuur en luchtvochtigheid dalen.
Soms kan zich de geur van bijv. tabak of cosmetica vastzetten in de airco.
Die geur kan dan bij een volgend gebruik worden uitgeblazen.
In de unit circuleert het koelmiddel. Dat kan soms een wat krakend geluid
veroorzaken. Dat is normaal.
Ook nadat u het apparaat hebt uitgeschakeld en de stekker uit het
stopcontact hebt gehaald kan zich nog een wat krakend geluid voordoen.
Dat komt omdat door de warmte tijdens de werking uitgezette materialen
weer krimpen.
Als de stroomvoorziening verstoord is geweest, kan het geheugen van de
airco zijn gewist. U dient het apparaat dan opnioeuw in te stellen met de
afstandsbediening.
Wanneer het ontvangstpunt op het display (dat de signalen uit de
afstandsbediening opvangt) is blootgesteld aan direct zonlicht of ander
sterk licht, zal het de signalen vanuit de afstandsbediening niet opvangen.
Sluit dan gordijnen of dim het licht.
Als het apparaat langere tijd werkt in een ruimte met een hoge
luchtvochtigheid kan zich vocht afzetten op de luchtuitlaat. Dat vocht kan
zelfs naar beneden druipen.
