3.1 Werking van de batterij MB-4821 / MB-4814 RACK
De batterijmodule MB 4821 bestaat uit 12 batterijen en een lader. Batterijmodule
MB 4814 RACK heeft 8 batterijen en een lader. Als de module aangesloten is aan de
netspanning en de schakelaar op ON staat aan de achterzijde van de module dan licht
LED “1” groen op. LED “2” geeft weer dat de batterijen verbonden zijn met de inverter
van de UPS (gedurende batterijmodus). LED “3” geeft weer dat de laadstroom groter
is dan 0,3A. LED “4” licht op als de batterijen in slechte conditie zijn (batterij zelf of
slechte laadstroom).
Een bijkomende speciale aansluiting aan de achterzijde van de module laat toe om
nog een bijkomende module aan te sluiten om de back-up tijd nog te vergroten.
3.2 Overbelasting van de module
De module heeft 2 zekeringen van 4 A vertraagd. Als deze doorgebrand zijn kan u ze
aan de achterzijde vervangen door nieuwe (met de identieke waarden als de
originele). Als de zekering opnieuw smelt, stuur uw apparaat dan op naar uw verkoper
of naar de fabrikant. Bijkomende +12V lijn (alleen gebruikt bij de ares 3000) is
beschermd door een zekering van 1A vertraagd (deze bevindt zich op de achterzijde).
De output +48V is beschermd door zekeringen van 10A per sectie. Deze zekeringen
bevinden zich binnenin de module en mogen enkel vervangen worden door
gekwalificeerd personeel.
3.3 Levensduur interne batterijen.
De levensduur van de interne batterij is afhankelijk van de arbeidsomstandigheden en
de opstelling van de UPS. Bij werking in een droog en koel lokaal bedraagt de
levensduur enkele jaren. De levensduur van de interne batterij daalt als de
arbeidstemperatuur van het toestel hoger is dan 30°C.
