gebracht (de relatieve positie van de pieken en dalen in de signalen) wordt synchronisatie genoemd. Als de signalen niet worden
gesynchroniseerd, kan er flikkering, wazigheid en horizontale interferentie optreden.
Tracking
(Frequentieafstemming)

VergrotingsmodusIn deze modus worden breedbeeldbeelden in 16:9-modus in horizontale richting gecomprimeerd zodat ze op het opnameapparaat as 4:3-
beelden worden opgeslagen.
Als deze beelden door de projector in vergrotingsmodus worden afgespeeld, wordt het oorspronkelijke 16:9-formaat hersteld.
VernieuwingssnelheidHet lichtgevende element van een scherm behoudt zijn helderheid en kleur maar heel kort. Daarom moet het beeld vele keren per seconde
worden gescand om het lichtgevende element te verversen. Het aantal keren dat het beeld per seconde ververst wordt heet
verversingsfrequentie en wordt uitgedrukt in hertz (Hz).
