However, to monitor the power consumption measured in “real-time” – having
consumption data transferred every 5 sec. Energy Reader can be put in Real-time
mode by pressing the sensor button once. - The LED located on the transmitter will
flash once as response, and Energy Reader will hereafter remain in real-time mode for
the next approx. 15 min. after which it will revert to the normal function and transmit
data every 15 minutes.
Note! The battery life expectancy will be significantly reduced by frequent use of the
Real-time function.
6.2.2 Press button 2 times – Normal Mode / Sleep Mode
Energy Reader operates normally by transferring the data collected from the wireless
transmitter to the USB receiver every 15 minutes - this is called Normal Mode. If
Energy Reader has been put in Real-time Function, it can be reversed into Normal
Mode by pressing two times on the sensor button. - The LED will flash twice and the
Energy Reader will then again be transmitting data every 15 minutes.
Note! In Normal Mode the sensor LED will not flash every time a pulse has been
detected.
6.2.3 Press button 3 times – Learn mode (including and excluding)
When establishing the connection between the wireless transmitter and USB receiver,
it is necessary to start the learn mode: - Press three times on the sensor button - The
LED will flash 3 times as responds. Subsequently, the wireless transmitter will attempt
to obtain contact with the USB receiver. This should only be done the first time
connection is established between the two devices.
Including the transmitter in a new Z-wave network
Make sure that the Z-Wave Master (controller/receiver) is in inclusion mode before
attempting to include a new Z-wave device to the network.
When establishing the connection between the wireless transmitter and the Z-Wave
network, it is necessary to start Learn mode:
1. Press three times on the sensor button.
2. The LED will flash 3 times as responds.
3. Subsequently, the wireless transmitter will attempt to obtain contact with the Z-
Wave Master device in order to be included to the network.
Excluding the transmitter from a Z-Wave network
Make sure that the Z-Wave Master (controller/receiver) is in exclusion mode before
attempting to exclude a Z-wave device from the network.
If the wireless transmitter has already been included in an existing Z-Wave network, it
is necessary to start Learn mode in order to remove the device from the Z-Wave
network again:
1. Press the sensor button three times.
2. The LED will flash 3 times as responds.
