12. Click ‘Ok’. The recording will start.
13. If you wish to stop recording, click ‘Stop’.
Under ‘Information’ on the bottom right of the screen you can view how much disk
space is needed for the recording, how long the recording will take, how long the
recording has been running, how much disk space is available and the maximum
amount of time left for the recording.
Note! As you can see the recording takes a lot of disk space. Make sure there is
enough available disk space before you start recording.
5.0 Using the MediaConverter 2.5 software
After recording images, you can convert the resulting file to several types of media
formats. This allows you to transfer recordings to your Apple iPod, Sony PSP or
YouTube. In this chapter we will explain how to put a recording on YouTube and how
to convert and transfer a file to your iPod.
5.1 Uploading a movie to YouTube
In this example we will assume you used ShowBiz DVD 2 to make a recording with a
maximum length of 10 minutes and that you saved this recording to your hard disk.
We will now explain how to upload this recording to YouTube.
1. Click ‘Start’.
2. Click ‘All Programs’.
3. Click ‘ArcSoft MediaConverter 2.5’. A new screen will appear.
4. Click ‘Add File’.
5. Select the file you wish to upload and click ‘Open’. The file will then appear in the
white field in the centre of the screen.
6. Choose YouTube in the ‘Convert to’ field.
7. A new screen will appear. Follow the instructions on this screen to sign up to
YouTube and allow the software to upload the file to your YouTube account.
8. Click ‘Start’. MediaConverter will now convert the selected file to the correct
format after which it will be uploaded to your Youtube account.
Note! It may take some time (possibly hours) before your movie can actually be found
on YouTube. This has to do with the processing time of YouTube.
5.2 Placing a file on your iPod
You can also use MediaConverter 2.5 to transfer files to several kinds of media
players. In this example we will transfer a file to an iPod. MediaConverter will (if
necessary) convert the file to a format that is suitable for your iPod, after which the file
will be placed on the iPod. Follow the instructions below:
