Dolby® Pro Logic
Si vous comptez investir dans un système complet de son cinéma, nous vous recommandons les produit
suivants:
une grande télé, un lecteur DVD ou/et un magnétoscope hi-Fi. Reliez-les à un amplicateur Pro-Logic et
ajoutez 5 enceintes.
Le processeur Dolby Pro Logic est le cerveau du système, il coordonne le son avec l’image sur l’écran. Si
par exemple une voiture vient de la droite vers la gauche, et disparaît à gauche, le processeur fera en sorte
que le son suive cette image. De même, un hélicoptère qui vole vers le spectateur et disparaît, sera perçu
comme s’il passait au dessus de votre tête.
Vous imaginez sans peine la complexité de cette manipulation. Pour y arriver, le processeur Dolby Pro Logic
contrôle plusieurs amplicateurs en même temps.
Dolby® Digital
Ce système sonore très complexe, qui appartenait jusqu’ici aux salles de cinéma, est aujourd’hui possible chez
vous. Le Dolby Digital comprend 6 canaux complètement indépendants: Droite, centre et gauche à l’avant et droite
et gauche à l’arrière, ainsi qu’une sortie pour caisson de basses. Les deux canaux arrières, par comparaison au
Pro Logic, ne jouent donc plus en mono dans une bande passante réduite, mais dans toute la bande passante et
en signal stéréo. Les effets surround sont donc plus précis et plus convaincants.
Le sixième canal est celui des effets dans les basses fréquences. On peut y ajouter un caisson de basses actif,
ce qui améliore le rendu des scènes spectaculaires, du style explosions etc…

Dolby Pro Logic
Wanneer U Uw nieuw home theatre systeem installeert, raden wij volgende producten aan:
een groot scherm en laserdisc of hi- video. Verbind deze met een Dolby Pro Logic tuner/versterker of versterker
en 5 luidsprekers.
De Dolby Pro Logic processor is het brein van het systeem. Het is een zeer ingewikkeld electronisch circuit
dat het geluid met de actie op het scherm coördineert. Bijvoorbeeld, als een auto van de rechterkant van het
scherm komt en verder door het scherm rijdt naar de linkerkant, dan zal het Dolby Pro Logic systeem het geluid
volgen zodat je de auto hoort bewegen van rechts naar links. Een helicopter dat naar de kijker toe vliegt en dan
verdwijnt van het scherm, zal de kijker toelaten het geluid te horen dat de helicopter langs hem vliegt lang nadat
de helicopter het scherm al verlaten heeft.
Zoals U zich wel kan inbeelden is het zeer moeilijk de actie met de gebeurtenissen op het scherm te
coördineren. De Dolby Pro Logic decoder beheerst verschillende geluidsgestuurde versterkers om dit waar te
maken.
Dolby Digital
Populair in de theaters wereldwijd, Dolby Digital is nu beschikbaar voor thuisgebruik. Dolby Digital levert 6
totaal afzonderlijke geluidskanalen. Dit houd in: het versterken van de linkse, centrale en rechtse kanalen
door de kamer. Het duidelijke onderscheid tussen Dolby Digital en Dolby Pro Logic mono surround kanaal
zijn de afzonderlijk linkse en rechtse surround kanalen die volledig stereo zijn. Dit creëert een meer preciese
plaatsbepaling van geluiden en een meer overtuigende, realistische sfeer.
Het 6de kanaal, ook wel omschreven als ».1« kanaal, is het laag frequent effect kanaal voor de actieve
subwoofer, die additionele basinformatie kan bevatten voor het versterken van bepaalde actiescenes zoals
ontplofngen en ongelukken.
Dolby Digital was al geruime tijd in gebruik in de lmwereld (meer dan 200 Dolby Digital lms werden al
geproduceerd). Dank zij de Dolby Digital DVD’s kunt U nu van deze fantastische vertoning thuis genieten.
