13. ADJUSTING THE RESPONSE TIME
The barrier can be set for a rapid alarm (crossed by running) or a slow alarm (crossed by walking).
Turning the trimmer on the RX barrier anti-clockwise increases the response time up to 700ms. This setting ensures
an alarm when a person walks through the barrier, with the advantage of excluding the possibility of any false
alarms (e.g. animals).
Turning the trimmer clockwise reduces the response time down to 50ms. This condition ensures an alarm when a
person runs across the barrier at top speed.
PROCEDURE FOR REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Check the following conditions before replacing the batteries:
1. The control unit must be switched OFF.
2. To avoid tamper alarms when changing the battery, ensure that the tamper alarm in the control unit configuration
is set to TOTAL. See the complete control unit manual for a detailed description.
3. Once the batteries have been changed, check that the control unit no longer shows a tampering state.
When the batteries are discharged, the barriers send a signal to the control unit together with normal transmission.
The LED lights up if the barriers are in an alarm state with discharged batteries. When the batteries are fully
discharged, the barriers no longer signal alarms and the LED flashes every 4 seconds.
After removing the batteries from both barriers, press the learning/test button 5-6 times to fully discharge them
before installing the new batteries.
14. SUPERVISION FUNCTION
In normal operation, the barrier sends a supervisory signal to the control unit at intervals from 30 to 50 minutes.
If the control unit does not receive the signal from the barrier within a predetermined time, the control unit will
generate a supervisory alarm.
