1.Orologio radiocomandato
L’orologio radiocomandato indica l’orario esatto all’interno del continente. Il segnale viene intercettato dalla Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt (PTB) in
Germania. Tramite un trasmettitore a Mainflingen, a ca. 25 km a sudest di Francoforte, la PTB invia il segnale orario a intervalli regolari (DCF77, 77.5kHz), il
quale può essere intercettato in un raggio di 2'000 km. Tuttavia il raggio d’azione può essere compromesso da interferenze locali (p. es. nelle vicinanze di ae-
roporti, cantieri, montagne, grandi edifici).
