SOLDERING TIP (Figure 1 part 1)
The soldering tip (to be used on the catalyst): used for regular
soldering activities, using soldering tin.
1. Screw the soldering tip in clockwise direction onto the
catalyst. Secure the tip using the 7 mm wrench (provided).
See Figure 6.
2. To remove the soldering tip, use the 7 mm wrench to
unscrew the tip in counter-clockwise direction.
FLAME EXTENSION PIECE (Figure 1 part 12)
The flame extension piece generates hot air of approx. 1000°C:
Used for heating larger surfaces.
1. Loosen the screw to fit the front tip of VersaFlame
(screwdriver not included). See Figure 7.
DEFLECTOR (Figure 1 part 13)
To be used with the flame extension piece. See Figure 7.

CLEANING THE TOOL

WARNING
ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE TOOL AND
ALLOW IT TO FULLY COOL DOWN BEFORE
CLEANING.
1. Clean the exterior of the tool with a clean cloth. If necessary,
use a damp cloth with a small amount of neutral detergent.
2. After soldering or in case of excess solder on the soldering
tip, wipe the tip on a soldering sponge soaked in some
water when it is still hot.
3. Never clean the soldering tip with sandpaper as this reduces
its lifetime.

statutory/country-specific regulations; damage due to normal
wear and tear, overload or improper handling will not be covered
by the guarantee.
In case of a complaint, send the tool undismantled together with
proof of purchase to your dealer.

1. ARBEITSPLATZ
a. Halten Sie den Arbeitsbereich sauber und gut beleuchtet.
Unaufgeräumte und dunkle Arbeitsbereiche erhöhen die
Unfallgefahr.
b. Halten Sie brennbare Materialien von dem Werkzeug fern.
c. Halten Sie Kinder und andere Personen während der Arbeit
mit dem Werkzeug fern. Wenn Sie abgelenkt sind, können
Sie die Kontrolle über das Werkzeug verlieren.
d. Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug nur im Freien oder in gut
belüfteten Räumen.
2. PERSÖNLICHE SICHERHEIT
a. Seien Sie aufmerksam, achten Sie darauf, was Sie tun, und
gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit mit dem Werkzeug.
Benutzen Sie das Werkzeug nicht, wenn Sie müde sind oder
unter dem Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder Medikamenten
stehen. Ein Moment der Unachtsamkeit bei der Bedienung
von Werkzeugen kann zu schweren Verletzungen führen.
b.
Verwenden Sie Schutzausrüstung. Tragen Sie
immer Augenschutz. Durch persönliche
Schutzausrüstung für die jeweiligen
Arbeitsbedingungen, wie Staubmaske, rutschfeste
Sicherheitsschuhe, Schutzhelm oder Gehörschutz, verringert
sich das Risiko von Verletzungen.
c. Lehnen Sie sich nicht zu weit nach vorne, hinten oder
seitwärts. Sorgen Sie für einen sicheren Stand und halten
Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht. Dies ermöglicht Ihnen
eine bessere Kontrolle über das Werkzeug in unerwarteten
Situationen.
d. Tragen Sie geeignete Kleidung. Es besteht die Gefahr,
dass Sie sich an der Flamme oder an flüssigem Lötzinn
verbrennen. Tragen Sie Schutzkleidung, um sich vor
Verbrennungen zu schützen. Halten Sie Haar, Kleidung und
Handschuhe von der Flamme fern. Lose Kleidung oder
langes Haar können Feuer fangen.
e. Fixieren Sie das Werkstück. Verwenden Sie eine
Spannvorrichtung zum Festhalten des Werkstücks. So haben
Sie beide Hände frei, um das Werkzeug zu bedienen.
f. Bewahren Sie diese Anleitung zum zukünftigen
Nachschlagen auf.
g. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es undicht ist
(Gasgeruch) oder Anzeichen von Beschädigung bzw.
Fehlfunktionen aufweist.
