ELECTRICAL COOKING PLATE
Read the instruction booklet fi rst, before using the appliance. Save the instruction
booklet for later use. Check the instruction booklet carefully.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
First check if the voltage indicated on the appliance is the same as your household
current.
Place the appliance near a socket, but make sure it is not to close to a water source.
The working area needs to be heat-resistant, dry and about 75 cm high.
Since the side of the appliance becomes hot, you need to keep a free space of at least 5
cm around the unit.
Make sure the power cord doesn’t come in contact with any hot surfaces. Keep the
cord away from children.
Make sure the appliance is placed not to close to the edge of the work space and is
kept out of reach of children or persons that are sensitive to heat.
This appliance may not be place under a cupboard.
Don’t move the hot plate when it is still hot or when there are pots on the plate.
Make sure that the pots are placed centrale on the hot plate and that the handles of
pans are positioned safely.
Be very careful when using grease or oil during cooking.
To prevent overheating, you always need to supervise during use.
When you stop cooking turn the thermostat off.
Remove the plug from the socket.
Don’t every leave the appliance unattended when there are children nearby.
Don’t place the hot plate near fl ammable materials, such as curtains, to prevent fi re.
USE
Make sure the temperature knob is turned off.
When using the hot plate for the fi rst time, smoke may occur, this is normal.
Make sure there are no foreign object, such as water or food on the hot plate, before
turning it on.
The hot plate is now ready for use.
Always use a pot or pan with a fl at bottom, to have a good contact with the hot plate.
The hot plate has different temperature settings, use the low settings (0-3) for
reheating or simmering. The temperature settings 4 to max. can be use for cooking.
After use the hot plate will remain hot for some time. You can use this heat to keep
food warm during a short periode or for drying out rice or potatos.
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning the appliance always remove the plug from the socket.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
You can clean the surface of your hot plate with a damp soft cloth.
Don’t use any abrasive cleaners.
