Fridge was on electric mode with electric and auto illuminated then it went to warning triangle and battery light on cannot change back to electric

I have a dometic rms10.5xs fridge. Two of the plastic bobbins have broken on top of the door which now has to be lifted to close. Can I fix this by switching the hinge to the other side. If so how does the door remove to do that?
