Urządzenie nie zawiera elementów emitujących gazy
niebezpieczne dla atmosfery CFC /HCFC. W zespole
chłodzącym stosowany jest amoniak (naturalny
związek wodoru i azotu) jako czynnik chłodzący
lodówki.
Przyjazny dla środowiska cyklopentan uaktywnia się
jako środek do piany izolacyjnej (PU).
Chromian sodowy stosowany jest jako ochrona
antykorozyjna (mniej niż 2 % wagi chłodziwa).
14. Recykling
Po rozpakowaniu urządzenia pozostałe materiały
należy odstawić do lokalnego punktu zbierania
makulatury. Gdy urządzenie nie będzie nadawało się
do dalszej eksploatacji, należy dostarczyć je do
specjalnej firmy zajmującej się przetwarzaniem i
utylizacją starego sprzętu.
Tam nastąpi profesjonalne zniszczenie pozostałości
urządzenia.
Urządzenia posiadające ten symbol muszą
być zdane do wyznaczonego lokalnego
punktu zbiorczego Urządzeń elektrycznych
i elektronicznych.
Jest zabronione wyrzucanie tego typu
sprzętu do przydomowych punktów
gromadzenia odpadów.
W lodówkach firmy Dometic ten symbol jest
umieszczany na tabliczce wewnątrz urządzenia.
