IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your ironing press, basic safety precautions should be followed, including
the following :
– Read all instructions before using the ironing press.
– Use ironing press only for its intended use.
– Before plugging in your ironing press, be sure the electrical information on the label
on the bottom of the base agrees with your power supply.
– Use a mains supply which has an earth connection, for your own safety.
– The ironing press should always be turned off before plugging or unplugging from
outlet.
Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet ; instead, grasp plug and pull to
disconnect.
– Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let ironing press cool completely before
putting it away.
– Do not operate ironing press with a damaged cord or if the ironing press leaks or is
damaged. To avoid the risk of an electrical shock, do not disassemble the ironing
press ; take it to your nearest service centre for examination or eventual repair.
Incorrect reassembly can cause risk of electric shock when the ironing press is used.
– Close supervision is necessary when using your press with children around.
– To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the
same circuit.
– If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used.
Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the
cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
– Never immerse th machine in water or other liquids.
– Only use cold water.
– Do not put your hand between the steaming board and the heating plate while
ironing.
– For any repair, take your machine to a registered after-sales service centre, so that
the repair will be in accordance with the standards indicated in this instruction book.
– Any repair done by an unauthorized person would cancel the warranty.
The appliance you have just bought conforms to the low voltage European directive
73/23/CEE relating to safety and the CEM directive 89/336/CEE relating to
electromagnetic compatibility, amended by 93/68/CEE.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes and alterations to the product
without prior notice.

BELANGRIJKE BEVEILIGINGEN
Bij gebruik van uw strijkpers dienen de grondveiligheidsmaatregelen in acht te worden
genomen, inclusief de volgende :
– Vordaat u de stekker van uw strijkpers in het stopkontakt steekt overtuigt u zich ervan dat
het voltage vermeld op het plaatje op de onderkant hetzelfde is als van uw
electriciteitsmeter.
– Lees alle instrukties voordat u de strijkpers gebruikt.
– Gebruik de strijkpers alleen waarvoor hij bestemd is.
– De strijkpers moet altijd worden uitgeschakeld voordat de stekker in het stopkontakt wordt
gestoken of eruit wordt gehaald. Trek nooit aan het snoer om dit uit het stopkontakt te
halen ; houdt in plaats daarvan de stekker vast en trek er dan aan.
– Laat het snoer nooit hete oppervlakten raken. Laat de strijkpers helemaal afkoelen
voordat u hem wegzet.
– Werk niet met de strijkpers wanneer het snoer beschadigd is of wanneer de strijkpers lekt
of beschadigd is. Om het risiko van een elektrische schok te vermijden haalt u de
strijkpers niet uit elkaar ; breng hem naar de dichtstbijzijnde Singerwinkel voor onderzoek
en eventuele reparatie. Verkeerde montage geeft de kans op een electrische schok
wanneer de strijkpers wordt gebruikt.
– U moet heel goed opletten wanneer de strijkpers wordt gebruikt als er kinderen in de
buurt zijn.
– Om overbelasting van stroomlevering te voorkomen mogen geen andere apparaten met
een hoog voltage tegelijkertijd worden gebruikt.
– Wanneer een verlengsnoer absoluut noodzakelijk is dient een 10-ampere snoer te
worden gebruikt. Snoeren met een minder amperevermogen kunnen oververhitting
veroorzaken. Zorg ervoor dat het snoer zó wordt neergelegd dat er niet aan kan worden
getrokken of erover kan worden gevallen.
– Gebruik alleen koud water.
– Zet uw hand niet tussen de stoomplaat en de verhittingsplaat tijdens het strijken.
– Alle herstellingen dienen door een erkend handelaar uitgevoerd te worden om aan de in
deze gebruiksaanwijzing gestelde normen te voldoen.
– Elke ingreep door een niet bevoegde persoon doet de waarborg teniet.
Dit apparaat is gelijkvormig aan de voorschriften van de Europese richtlijn voor lage spanning
73/23/CEE met betrekking tot de veiligheid, en aan de richtlijn CEM 89/336/CEE met betrekking
tot de elktromagnetische compatibiliteit, geamendeerd door 93/68/CEE
De fabrikant behoudt zich het recht voor de gepresenteerde modellen en hun kenmerken en accessories
