Descaling
You should descale the kettle on a regular basis, as a heavily calcified kettle
requires more electricity. How often the appliance needs descaling will
depend on the hardness of the water used and frequency of use.
z With normal use, you should descale the kettle every 3 months if you
have soft water and 1x per month if you have hard water.
z You should descale the device when the boiling process takes longer
than normal or thick calcification has formed on the heating plate in the
water container.
You can obtain information about the water hardness in your area
from the responsible water utility provider.
For descaling, you can use commercially available descaler (pay attention
to manufacturer instructions) or mix household vinegar with water in a 1:1
ratio.
1. Fill the descaling liquid into the kettle and boil it.
2. Afterwards, leave the liquid to take effect, for approx. half an hour.
3. Only with thick calcification: Boil the mixture a second time.
Pour it away afterwards.
4. Boil fresh tap water and also pour it away.
Afterwards, you can use the kettle as usual.
