decided on a quality product complying with
the most modern development standard regar-
ding technology and functionality.
Make sure you acquaint yourself with the
appliance before and read the operating
instructions carefully.
We wish you pleasure with your new filter coffee
maker.
Setting up
Remove all packaging parts and, if applicable,
stickers, not the rating label.
Place the filter coffee maker on a dry, non-slip
and even surface.
CE marking
The appliance meets the require-
ments of the applicable EC direc-
tives.
Indoor use
The appliance is intended for in
door use only.
Before using the first time
Read these instructions carefully before first use.
Prior to brewing coffee for the first time, run
the coffee maker with water only for one or two
times (omitting coffee powder and filter insert).
Open the lid of the water tank and fill in cold
water to the MAX marking. The water tank is
removable and can be taken to the sink to be
filled. Alternatively you can also use glass carafe
to fill the tank to the MAX marking.
Place the carafe on the „Keep Warm“ plate and
press the ON/OFF button to switch on the ap-
pliance.
Switch off the coffee maker after the brewing
process and pour away the water.
Safety instructions for operation
Use the coffee maker exclusively for making
coffee. Do not fill other liquids or foodstuffs in
the coffee maker.
Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or
any other liquid!
ATTENTION: When filling the water reservoir
with water, avoid the MAX marking being
exceeded. A possible bubbling over can cause
a danger of scald.
Brewing coffee
Fill the reservoir with the desired amount of cold
water. You can use the removable water tank or
the glass carafe. In each case go according to
the markings on the water reservoir.
When filling the water reservoir with water,
avoid the MAX marking being exceeded.
Open the filter holder to the left by pulling the
handle on the right.
Place a filter bag # 1x4 into the filter holder and
add the desired amount of ground coffee.
After that place the glass carafe on the “Keep
Warm“ plate.
Plug cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Switch on the appliance.
When brewing is complete, the “Keep Warm“
plate will keep the coffee hot as long as the cof-
fee maker is switched on.
Switch off the appliance when you no longer
need it.
Decalcification
First pour approximately 6 cups of water and
approximately 150 ml of citric acid or vinegar
into the coffee maker and switch the machine on.
After decalcifying, rinse the machine by ope-
rating it 2 times with 6 cups of clear water and
switch off the appliance.
Note: Regular decalcification (every 3 - 4 weeks)
guarantees a constant coffee quality, keeps
power consumption low and extends durabi-
lity of your coffee maker. The degree of calci-
fication depends on the local water hardness.
No warranty claim in case of faulty function-
ing due to calcification!
