■ WARNING - Danger of scalding! This device works
with hot steam. Never direct steam at people, animals
or plants.
■ Caution: Hot surface! Only hold the device by the han-
dle when you are using it.
■ Never point the steam directly at mains cables or parts contain-
ing electrical components (for example stereo equipment, televi-
sions, monitors, switches, lamps, microwave ovens etc.).
■ Never remove the cap of the water reservoir during use! Always
make sure that the water reservoir is fi rmly shut before you use
the device.
■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power
when it is left unattended and before assembly, dismantling, be-
fore you pour water into the water reservoir or empty it, and
before cleaning.
■ In the interest of your own safety, check the device, the mains
cable and the mains plug for damage every time before use.
Use the device only if it is in good working order.
■ If the device, the mains cable or the plug of the device is dam-
aged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer ser-
vice department or a similarly qualifi ed person (e.g. specialist
workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.
Dangers of Injury
■ CAUTION! Improper use of the device can lead to injuries, scalding and electric
shock.
■ CAUTION - Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children
and animals.
■ CAUTION - Danger of scalding! Never touch the cleaning foot of the device or the ac-
cessories used during operation! Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm. Wear shoes
when cleaning fl oors.
■ CAUTION - Danger of scalding! The accessory used may be very hot during and
shortly after use. Always allow the device and the accessory used to cool down com-
pletely before you clean it, take it apart and/or store it away.
■ CAUTION - Danger of tripping! When using the device, always lay the mains cable in
such a way that nobody can become caught on it.
