Crankcase heater (optional on MC models).
• It is advisable to switch on the crankcase
heater at least one hour before the
seasonal start-up or after long shutdown
periods.
• During the whole operating season, the
power supply must always be connected;
it can only be disconnected during
shutdown periods.
Compressor winding protection
With automatic reset. It operates when the
winding temperature or power input of the
compressor exceeds the operating limits. It
can be controlled by using an Ohmmeter or
a continuity tester.
Control and security
devices
ATTENTION:
Before starting any servicing or
maintenance operation on the unit, make
sure that the power supply has been
disconnected. Electrical discharge could
cause personal injury.
In order to obtain optimum performance
from your unit and prevent possible failures,
please pay special attention to the following
points:
• Outdoor coil. Prevent the accumulation
of dust and particles which may obstruct
the air flow. Clean the coil at least once a
year with a non-metallic brush, or with a
jet of pressurized air.
• Electrical connections. Pay special
attention to the supply voltage (see
nameplate).
Ensure that there are no faulty contacts at
the connection blocks caused by rust, dirt
or loose screws. Check at least once a
year.
• Drains. Ensure that the drain pipes are
not obstructed, and that the condensate
pan is clean. Check at least once a year.
Maintenance and
service

Protezione degli avvolgimenti del
compressore
A ripristino automatico. Interviene quando
la temperatura degli avvolgimenti o
l’assorbimento elettrico del compressore
supera i limiti di funzionamento. Può essere
controllato usando un Ohmmetro o un
tester di continuità.

e sicurezza
ATTENZIONE:
prima di iniziare qualunque operazione
di servizio o manutenzione sull’unità,
assicurarsi che l’alimentazione sia stata
scollegata. Una scossa può causare
danni alle persone
Per ottenere un’ottima prestazione dall’uni-
tà e prevenire possibili guasti, si consiglia di
prestare particolare attenzione ai seguenti
punti:
• Batteria esterna. Evitare gli accumuli di
polvere e particelle che possono ostruire
il passaggio dell’aria. Pulire la batteria
almeno una volta all’anno con una
spazzola non metallica o con un getto
d’aria pressurizzata.
• Connessioni elettriche. Fare attenzione
al valore della tensione di alimentazione.
Assicurarsi che non ci siano falsi contatti
nei morsetti di connessione causati da viti
allentate, sporco, ruggine o corpi estranei.
Controllare almeno una volta all’anno.
• Drenaggio. Assicurarsi che i tubi di
drenaggio non siano ostruiti e che la
bacinella scarico condensa non sia
ostruita. Controllare almeno una volta
all’anno.
