A guideline to determine what temperature setting is best for your hair:
This guideline indicates the optimum temperature setting.
Variable temperature adjustment
You can set the temperature with the variable temperature adjustment:
I section : from 60 to 100 degrees
II section : from 100 to 150 degrees
III section : from 150 to 200 degrees
Operating instructions
1. After washing your hair, it’s really important to prepare it for styling. If you use lots of
heated styling tools on your hair use a heat protection spray before you begin styling.
2. Divide your hair into sections, and comb each section through. Use sectioning clips to
clip hair out of the way so you can straighten hair thoroughly.
3. Insert the plug in the socket. Turn the on/off switch to ‘on’ before use.
4. Adjust the temperature regulator to the desired temperature.
5. Place the straightener on a heat resistant surface while they are warming up and during
straightening.
6. The straightener will have reached the set temperature after 60 seconds.
7. Clamp a section of the hair between the straightening plates, as close to the roots
as possible. Gently slide the straightener down your hair shaft to the ends. For more
difficult sections of hair, you may need to do this again. Repeat on all sections of the
hair.
8. Turn the on/off switch to ‘off’ to deactivate the device. Remove the plug from the
socket after use. Hang the straightener on the practical storage ring once it has cooled
down.

The mains lead of the appliance must not be replaced. An appliance with a faulty or
damaged mains lead can not be repaired and must be disposed of as waste material.
Have a service provider authorised by the manufacturer inspect the product
to minimise risks.
Use the appliance for its intended purpose only.
Chemical waste: a defective appliance should be rendered unusable. Consult your local
authorities for information about waste disposal regulations.
ThermoCeramic technology
The ceramic coated plates ensure that the hair cuticle lies at once styled. This ensures
that your hair reects light and therefore appears healthy and shiny. The ceramic coating
also acts as a barrier to protect your hair from the high temperature reached by the
element. This minimises damage to the cuticle.
Selecting the correct heat setting
The ThermoCeramic Slimline is designed to reach very high temperatures for use on all
hair types. Most hair types can be styled perfectly without using the highest heat settings.
Where possible, you should always use the lower settings as this is safer and kinder to
your hair.

Cleaningandmaintenance
Over time, you will nd a natural build up on your straightening plates. This can be caused
by natural oils in your hair and styling products and lotions. At the rst sign of build up,
you should clean your straightening plates. To do this, always switch your straightener
off and wait for them to cool down. Wipe with a damp cloth, or a non abrasive cleaning
wipe. Failure to do this may mean the build up becomes burnt onto the straightening
plates and they will become difcult to clean. If your straightening plates do become
discoloured it will NOT affect their performance.
Disconnect the plug of the appliance from the socket outlet. Never submerge the appli-
ance in water. Do not allow dirt or hair products to build up on the appliance. Always
wait for the appliance to cool down thoroughly before cleaning.
