Infarrojo frontal
Si utiliza junto con los sistemas de Instalación Personalizada o
sistemas repetidores infrarrojos, es conveniente desactivar el panel
frontal infrarrojo desactivando FRONT IR (pulse el botón a la posición
‘off'. Pulse el botón Mode para salir.
Recorte de ganancia de entrada
Los niveles relativos de las entradas pueden ajustarse mediante el
recorte de ganancia. Esto permite ajustar cada uno de ellas de modo
que todas suenen igual en términos de potencia acústica promedio al
conmutar entre ellas. Elija la fuente con mayor potencia acústica y
recorte su nivel hasta igualar el promedio percibido de las demás.
Repita este proceso si las demás fuentes también destacan con una
potencia acústica superior al promedio.
Para establecer el recorte de cada fuente, seleccione INP TRIM en el
menú Configuración del sistema. Seleccione la entrada que desee y
utilice el control de volumen para fijarlo entre 0 y -12 dB (el rango
disponible queda limitado si el volumen se ajusta a un nivel muy bajo).
Pulse el botón Mode para salir.

Configuración del preamplificador (cont.)
Ganancia de entrada fija
Para cualquier entrada del 840E puede establecerse una ganancia fija.
Cuando se seleccione una entrada, la ganancia será automáticamente
la del valor establecido y no podrá ajustarse con el control de volumen.
Esta función puede resultar útil cuando se utilizan fuentes disponen de
su propio control de volumen, como algunas unidades de adaptación
multimedia (STB).
Además, esta función puede utilizarse para integrar con el 840E un
receptor AV que cuente con salidas para preamplificador (como
nuestros modelos 540R o 640R).
Sólo hay que conectar las salidas delanteras de preamplificador (“Pre-
Amp”) derecha e izquierda del receptor AV a cualquier entrada del 840E
y establecer esa entrada como ganancia fija. A continuación, se conecta
el receptor AV a los distintos altavoces envolventes, mientras que el
840E/W alimenta los delanteros izquierdo y derecho.
El 840E/W puede utilizarse también para fuentes estéreo conectadas
de forma normal para obtener la máxima calidad de sonido. Cuando
desee descodificar sonido envolvente, seleccione la entrada del 840E
elegida para ganancia fija. De esa forma, el receptor AV puede utilizarse
para descodificar cualquiera de sus fuentes de sonido envolvente. El
receptor AV controlará el volumen de todos los canales y el control de
volumen del 840E quedará desactivado.
Si lo desea, puede renombrar la entrada de ganancia fija del 840E
como “modo AV” o de forma similar. Puesto que la ganancia puede
fijarse en cualquier valor, es fácil hacer coincidir el nivel del 840E con
el de los demás canales de AV.
Para establecer un volumen fijo para una fuente, seleccione la opción
FIXED INP del menú de configuración del sistema:
Seleccione la entrada deseada y establezca la ganancia fija utilizando
el control de volumen (el ajuste OFF no desactiva la entrada, sino que
deja la ganancia de entrada a merced del control de volumen, que es el
ajuste predefinido). Cuando una fuente tiene una entrada fija, el
balance siempre se fija como neutro.
