Conexiones de entrada (fuente)
Las entradas 1 y 2 cuentan con conexiones no balanceadas
(phono/RCA) o balanceadas (XLR). El modelo 840E está diseñado para
funcionar a su máximo rendimiento cuando se utiliza una interconexión
balanceada.
Los siguientes diagramas muestran el preamplificador 840E conectado
a un reproductor de CD Azur 840C con configuración no balanceada
(Figura 1) y balanceada (Figura 2). El modelo 840E puede conectarse
también a fuentes que no sean Cambridge Audio con salidas
balanceadas.
Las conexiones balanceadas en un sistema de audio están diseñadas
para rechazar el ruido eléctrico del cableado y también los efectos de
las corrientes que fluyen por las conexiones de tierra. El principio básico
de la interconexión balanceada es obtener la señal que se desea
mediante la substracción, utilizando una conexión de tres hilos. Un hilo
de la señal (la señal "caliente" o "en fase") transporta la señal normal,
mientras que el otro (la señal "fría" o "invertida") transporta una versión
invertida. La entrada balanceada detecta la diferencia entre las dos
líneas y proporciona la señal deseada. Cualquier tensión de ruido que
aparezca de forma idéntica en ambas líneas (denominadas señales de
modo común) es cancelada mediante la substracción.
Asegúrese de que el interruptor de balanceado/no balanceado de las
entradas 1 y 2 está en el tipo de conexión que desea utilizar.

Sincronización de la potencia (control del encendido y del modo espera)
Al entrar y salir del modo espera, el preamplificador Azur 840E puede,
si lo desea, controlar automáticamente el amplificador 840W cuando
esté conectado a través de las conexiones del bus de control (las
conexiones del bus de control son las naranjas del panel trasero de los
modelos Azur compatibles). Para que esta característica funcione, las
unidades deben estar conectadas entre sí con cables RCA/phono. No
es necesario realizar ninguna otra configuración.
Conecte la salida del bus de control del preamplificador 840E a la
entrada del bus de control del amplificador 840W. A continuación,
conecte los demás modelos Azur si es necesario sincronizar más
unidades (consulte el manual del modelo 840E para obtener más
información, ya que será necesario realizar otras configuraciones).
