Deze verwarmingsketel op basis van natuurlijke trek mag enkel worden
gekoppeld aan een rookafvoerkanaal dat wordt gedeeld tussen verschil-
lende woningen in bestaande gebouwen dat de verbrandingsresten af-
voert tot buiten de kamer waarin de verwarmingsketel staat. Hij haalt de
verbrandingslucht rechtstreeks uit de kamer en bevat een trekonderbre-
ker. Gezien de lagere efficiëntie van deze ketel moet elk ander gebruik
ervan worden vermeden en zal een dergelijk gebruik resulteren in hoger
energieverbruik en hogere gebruikskosten.
