can cross any person at head height.

Assembly
Warning! Make sure that the tool is switched off.
Fitting the batteries (fig. A)
Remove the battery cover (4) from the tool.
Insert the batteries into the tool in the orientation as
shown.
Refit the cover and let it click into place.
Wall mounting (fig. B & C)
The tool can be mounted to walls using one of the wall
mounts (5 or 6). The wall pin (5) is used to hang the tool to
drywalls. The keyhole mount (6) is used to hang the tool on
other types of wall using a screw or nail.
Warning! Keep the wall mounts in a safe place when not in use.
Wall pin
Fold out the spade pin (7).
Hold the wall pin in front of a suitable location and press
the pin straight into the wall.
Install the tool by clinging the magnet (8) to the wall pin (5).
Warning! The wall pin is sharp and should be handled with care.
Keyhole mount
Drive a screw or nail into the wall.
Hang the wall mount (6) onto the fastener.
Install the tool by clinging the magnet (8) to the keyhole
mount (6).
Use (fig. D)
Place the tool flat against the wall as shown.
Push the on/off switch (1) up to switch the tool on.
Move the tool as necessary to position the laser line.
Hang the tool on the wall using the appropriate wall mount.
Adjusting the laser line (fig. E)
In order to project a vertical line, adjust the tool until the
vial (9) is level.
In order to project a horizontal line, adjust the tool until
the vial (10) is level.
Using the scale
The scale (11) on the wall mount can be used for angular
adjustment.
Align the 0° position on the scale with the pointer on the
tool by turning the wall pin.
To check an angle, adjust the scale as necessary.
Protecting the environment
Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your Black & Decker product
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you, do not
dispose of it with household waste. Make this product
available for separate collection.
Separate collection of used products and packaging
allows materials to be recycled and used again. Re-
use of recycled materials helps prevent environmental
pollution and reduces the demand for raw materials.
Local regulations may provide for separate collection of
electrical products from the household, at municipal waste
sites or by the retailer when you purchase a new product.

recycling of Black & Decker products once they have reached
the end of their working life. To take advantage of this service

will collect them on our behalf.

Batteries
At the end of their useful life, discard batteries with
due care for our environment.
Remove the batteries as described above.
Place the batteries in a suitable packaging to ensure that
the terminals cannot be short-circuited.
Take the batteries to a local recycling station.
