This connection method will give you the best sound quality.
If you nd that the game volume is too loud to hear other players chat, simply enter the audio settings of your
game and adjust the game audio to a level that you are happy with.
Connecting directly to your console, if you do not have a headphone jack to connect to
If you do not have headphone jack on your equipment, you can take sound direct from the rear of the console.
To do this you will need to use the stereo RCA extension cable supplied with your headset.
1. If you are using the original composite cable supplied with your XBOX360™ console (ending with the 3
yellow, red and white connection plugs) simply unplug the red and white connections and plug them into the
round sockets on the RCA extension cable.
2. Then plug the RCA extension cable back into the TV in the exact same sockets you removed them from.
3. Plug the green coloured 3.5mm plug from your headset into the green coloured female 3.5mm socket on
your extension cable.
4. Plug the grey coloured 2.5mm jack on the end of the shorter cable into the headset socket on the front of
your controller.
5. Now adjust the volume control on the remote to your desired level and ensure that the Mic control is
switched to the on position. If you do not want players to hear you, slide the Mic position to off.
Note that the sound levels through this connection method will be lower than when you connect direct to
your TV or amp.
