38 Embroidery Threads /Embroidery motifs-Summary
Embroidery threads
Embroidery is particularly effective if
you use glossy rayon embroidery
threads or a good quality polyester
embroidery thread (Isacord) as upper
threads. They are available in a wide
range of colors for beautiful embro-
idery.
Embroidery threads to meet all your
needs are available from all major
thread manufacturers. Whatever
your preference – bold or pale colors
– your embroidery is guaranteed to
be a success.
We recommend fine darning, lin-
gerie, embroidery or overlock thread
in white or matching color in the
bobbin.
One of the most important elements
in successful embroidery is the
quality of the thread. We strongly
recommend that you purchase thread
from a reputable manufacturer in
order to avoid irregularities, thread
breakage, etc. which so often occur
with poor quality threads.
When sewing with metallic threads,
we recommend the use of the
vertical spool pin and the supple-
mental thread guide (special
accessory). A needle designed for use
with metallic thread may also be
helpful.
