1. Explanation of the symbols
The following symbols are used in the user
manual or on the product:

2. Additional safety instructions
for cordless drain augers
2.1 Wear protective goggles and a face
mask to protect yourself from the pos-
sibly poisonous and infectious contents
of the drain.
2.2 Wear tight-tting, solid gloves made
from coated fabric which can not get
caught in the exible shaft. Severe
injury may result from hands or ngers
being drawn into the exible shaft. If
necessary wear protective gloves made
from rubber or latex under your gloves.
2.3 Please keep in mind that chemical drain
cleaners are caustic, wear protective
equipment if such agents were used
before the drain auger!
2.4 Do not eat, drink or smoke while operat-
ing the drain auger. After work clean
your hands and other body parts which
have come in contact with the contents
of the drain or other contaminations
with soap and warm water before eat-
ing, drinking or smoking. This way you
avoid taking on toxic or infectious
material.
2.5 Severe injury to ngers, hands, arms or
other body parts may result from
clothes or gloves being drawn into rotat-
ing parts. Therefore wear tight-tting
clothing and if necessary a hair net. Do
not wear jewellery or other items which
my get caught in the exible shaft.
2.6 Do not use soft gloves or rags to guide
the rotating exible shaft. Severe injury
may result from them being twisted into
the exible shaft. Grasp the exible
shaft only with suitable, tight-tting
gloves. Unsuitable gloves may get
caught in the exible shaft and cause
severe injury.
2.7 Hold the machine as close as possible
to the entry of the drain or pipe you are
cleaning to avoid that the exible shaft
may twist or form loops. An excessively
long free piece of the exible shaft may
twist and snap and cause severe injury.
