Electronic programm guide
Ist eine Funktion des DVB Standards die es erlaubt Programminformationen für alle Sendungen zur Verfügung zu stellen. Oft
wird EPG mit einer elektronischen Programmzeitschrift verglichen. Es werden Daten wie laufendes, und folgendes Programm
sowie zusätzliche Informationen wie Genre und Herstellungsjahr übertragen. Die Programmvorschau des EPG ist in der Regel
(je nach TV Anbieter) bis zu 10 Tagen im Voraus verfügbar.
HDMI: High Definition Multimedia Interface
ist eine Mitte 2003 neu entwickelte Schnittstelle für die volldigitale Übertragung von Audio- und Video-Daten (Musik, Filme;
Verbindung des PC zum Monitor) und liegt seit dem 23. Juni 2006 in der Version 1.3 vor. HDMI wurde von der Industrie
zielgerichtet für den Bereich der privat genutzten Unterhaltungselektronik.
OSD: On Screen Display
( dt. Bildschirmmenü ) ist ein Menü, das über das momentane Bild (z. B. bei einem Fernseher ) eingeblendet wird. Es dient zur
Bedienung des Gerätes und um Einstellungen vorzunehmen. Über Tasten an der
Fernbedienung oder am Gerät kann man sich
im Menü bewegen. Das OSD ist in modernen Geräten mehrsprachig.
S/PDIF
Sony/Philips-Digital Interface
ist eine Bus- und Interface-Spezifikation für die Übertragung digitaler Audiosignale zwischen
verschiedenen Geräten. In unserem Fall wird das digitale Audiosignal über ein Glasfaserkabel zum z.B. Audioverstärker
abgegeben.
