Omaha Hold’em High.
Omaha Hold’em High is een andere bekende
Pokervariant. Bij Omaha Hold’em High ontvangt
iedere speler vier gesloten kaarten. Vervolgens
worden in het midden van de tafel in totaal vijf
kaarten open gelegd. De spelers maken nu een zo
hoog mogelijke combinatie van maximaal vijf
kaarten uit twee van de vier eigen en drie van de
vijf open kaarten.
Hoe verloopt Omaha Hold’em High?
Voor Omaha Hold’em High geldt een maximum van
negen spelers. De overige bepalingen voor het
spelen en dealen van Omaha Hold’em High zijn
hetzelfde als die van Texas Hold’em High, zij het
met twee uitzonderingen:
•
Aan alle spelers worden vier in plaats van twee
gesloten kaarten gegeven.
•
Alle spelers moeten twee van hun eigen kaarten
gebruiken plus drie van de vijf open kaarten
(de zogenoemde ‘board cards’) om een Pokerhand
van vijf kaarten te vormen.
Casinolegende.
Het meest beroemde casino is ongetwijfeld dat van
Monte Carlo. Als geen ander was en is dit casino
dé speeltuin voor de ‘rich & famous’. Grootheden
als Greta Garbo, Arthur Rubinstein, de Rothschilds
en de Aga Khan bezochten hier regelmatig de
speeltafels. Ook de huidige generatie ‘nouveau
riche’, waaronder succesvolle sportlieden en
industriëlen, weet de weg naar dit nietige rotspuntje
aan de middelandse zee te vinden. De onmiskenbare
charme van het vorstendom Monaco is overigens
niet alleen gelegen in de aantrekkingskracht van het
casino, maar heeft ook te maken met het bekende
formule-1-circuit, een wereldberoemd circusfestival
en niet te vergeten het gunstige belastingklimaat…
